With a background in rehabilitative stretching for treatment of childhood Leg Perthes, Geoff's practice of Hatha Yoga began in 1998. His undergraduate studies became framed by wellness, wholistic health, mind, body & spirit; courses including psychology, philosophy, health sciences, environmental studies and spirituality.

Geoff then started attending yearly retreats, professional trainings, and conferences on mindfulness including a one month silent retreat in 2009 at Insight Meditation Society in Barre, MA.

Geoff received a Phd from OISE of the University of Toronto (OISE/UT) focusing on Mindfulness in Education and Teacher Wellness. From 2006-2011 Geoff was teaching and researching Mind-Well at OISE/UT.  He also offered workshops and programs for teachers-in-service, health care professionals, and in the workplace.

As an outdoor educator and explorer Geoff has travelled in every province and territory in Canada.  After living near High Park in the west end of Toronto over the past 6 years, he now lives on Bowen Island, B.C.
